3. Technology Boosting
i) The only solution for maintain and restore the fertility of the soil which has become unfertile due to excessive or improper use of the chemical fertilizers is application of bio and organic fertilizers. The main advantages of organic and bio fertilizers in comparison to synthetic fertilizers are:
• Organic fertilizers provide readily available plant nutrients in a concentrated form and don’t have any significant effect on the physical properties of the soil.
• Play an important role in improvement of physical, physico-chemical and biological soil properties
• Products obtained by organic farming are free from residual effects, healthier for human and animal consumption and safe for health.
• Organic fertilizers maintain the fertility of the soil and continuous use of chemical fertilizer may cause of unproductivity of soil.
• Organic farming is not only expected to increase the income of the farmers but also helps in moving towards sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly and healthy food.
ii) Cow Dung Compost (CDC) has emerged as an alternative carrier of NPK Bio-fertilizer especially in the Indian context with a large number of livestock. Building upon this resource has many benefits namely (a) CDC has a texture comparable to soil; (b) strains of bio fertilizers embedded in CDC take lesser time to migrate to soil as compared to strains embedded in lignite/peat/ charcoal; (c) Organic composites in CDC have higher heat resistance capacity and farmers can store bio-fertilizers in room temperatures. Further, the company identified gamma sterilization of CDC by applying electromagnetic radiation emitted from radionuclides as a low cost, less time consuming and pollution-free method. Thus, the company undertook development of gamma radiation sterilized CDC as an alternative carrier of NPK Bio-fertilizer
4. Marketing (Product promotion)
Company has a large distribution market in West Bengal. There are thousands of active dealers in the region of Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Bankura, Howrah and Hooghly. Conduct meetings between dealers and farmers about the products every month in different areas.
5. Warehousing Services

The aim of the research fellowship programs such as Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) program managed by MSVLPL is to promote research and train young scientists in frontier areas of research in biotechnology.
Few skill development programmes organized include:
★ Biotech Industrial Training Programme:
MSV Laboratories Private Limited (MSVLPL) is implementing since 2004-05, a scheme of practical industrial training for M.Sc./M.Tech./B.E./B.Tech/MBA students. The objective of this programme is to provide industry-specific training to Biotech students for skill development and enhancing their job opportunities in biotech industry. This programme provides an opportunity to Biotech Industry for training and selecting suitable manpower. The training period is for six months during which a trainee is paid stipend per month. The advertisement for the programme is published in format of online application forms for students.

9. Other Activities
a. Kiran Karmasanchar Prakalpa (কিরণ কর্মসঞ্চার প্রকল্প)
Self-employment and wealth generation for rural people by converting unutilized rural biodegradable waste like cow dung, the unlimited source and evenly distributed on earth to cow dung compost, utilized as raw material for our production.
b. Kiran Tailabiz Sanrakshan Prakalpa (কিরণ তৈলবীজ সংরক্ষণ প্রকল্প)
The company developed a process for preservation of oilseeds for 9-12 months in metal bin in collaboration with Save Grain Campaign under Dept. of Food, GOI and IIT, Kharagpur without any damage. By application of this technique the farmers can save their grain from damage and rural unemployed youth can self-employed by this project.

Keeping all the problems of West Bengal’s farmers in mind, MSV laboratories Pvt. Ltd. has introduced a new project called as Bio-Zone. Bio-Zone is a simple project of MSV laboratories Pvt. Ltd in which the farmers of a village or land holders will create a co-operative society. Under the rules and regulations of this society, the farmers will undergo mixed farming (cultivation of vegetables, fruits, fisheries etc.) with the application of organic and biological manures/fertilizers in place of chemical fertilizers for providing essential nutrients to the proper growth of the crops. And store the all the agriculture produce jointly in a safe storing unit. MSV will arrange to sell and may purchase all the produce like vegetables, fruits, fishes, milk, cow-dung etc. and will help in making of infrastructure for storing of crops in micro level as well as macro level.
e. Poverty Alleviation through Self Employment Generation
Our ongoing project “KIRAN KARMASANCHAR PRAKALPA” has given employment to more than 500 people in rural areas, earning more than Rs. 30,000/- p.a. by decomposing cow dung and vegetable without any investment. Many Professors, Executives.
